Hello Peggy,
We both had a really good time and look forward to coming back. Ross especially enjoyed the ride and I appreciate Tim taking the extra time with him. Thank you for spending time with us and educating us on the planes it was definitely more than we expected. Thanks to you and Tim, Ross has a lifetime memory of his first ride in a biplane. Please keep me posted on special events and maybe next time you can meet the whole family.
Thanks for a great experience!

| Tim,
Thanks for a great two day immersion into tailwheel flying. I don't think there could have been any better place to get the endorsement than down there with y'all. It was so nice to meet Peggy and to see a glimpse of what goes on at GA2 beyond just the Cub flying.
I appreciate your taking me up to the restoration hangers as well and giving me the chance to meet those guys and get a peek at all the work that goes on over there. Hopefully I will be able to make it down soon on a Saturday to see everything in action and practice some more on grass strips.
Also, please let Ron know how much I appreciate him letting me grab some chocks, as I know how much my family will enjoy using them in the hanger. He is undertaking an outstanding project which I look forward to following over the upcoming years and which I will soon introduce to my grandfather and uncle (the other Cubdrivers in the family) as well as others. Tell Ron thanks.
Again, thanks for everything. I look forward to seeing y'all soon.
All my best to Tim, Peggy, and Preston Aviation,
Samuel

Tim and Peggy,
Finally got a chance to say hello. I also like to thank you guys for taking care of me. I had a lot of fun training in the J-3. I need to get more proficient so I hope I can make it up to Peach State again soon, may be in my Bucker. You guys take care and hopefully see you soon.
Thanks.

Tim and Peggy,
It was a fabulous trip out here to the west coast. Tim was so patient with me....I appreciated his willingness to give me the real "Stearman Experience." I was able to get a feel for the airplane, see aviation from a perspective that I only dreamed about until now, and, experience a big chunk of the United States through the gracious aviation people we met along the way. What a treat!
Thanks again for being so helpful in my purchase and the introduction to the world of Stearman flying. I learned so much and I am thankful for the opportunity to fly with such a pro! You have put me on a great launch pad for flying and caring for my new Stearman. Keep up the great work and I look forward to flying with you for many years to come. I genuinely appreciated your hospitality and approach to providing a great service. I wish you continued success.
Kind regards,
Jim |

Hey There,
Got home in about 3 hours, safe n sound. Thanks for sending the photos along Peggy. I just wanted to thank you and Tim again for the great experience I had with both of you, getting the tailwheel endorsement in the cub. Tim's instruction is top rate and I will recommend him to anyone I meet in future that needs tailwheel time. Good luck with the move to Atlanta. Keep in touch. Peace health and happiness to you both.
Sincerely,
Allen S |

I'm now back home in England after a week in Florida followed by a week in Japan. But boy was that Stearman ride great!

Tim and Peggy,
Got back to North Carolina finally with a quick stop at Universal Studies for a couple days. Just wanted to say thank you very much for the wonderful time on Sunday. Tim thanks for getting me up before the wind picked up and your patience while I knocked off the rust. I had a blast flying and it was great getting to meet you both and of course Rocket and your kitty (I forgot her name)!
Take care. Please stay in touch.
Cheers,

Hello Peggy & Tim,
It's only been a week, since my first flight in a Stearman ever. What a dream come TRUE! I just wanted to send you a note to say thank you to the both of you for making my 43 third birthday the BEST ever. It will be a memory that I will never forget! It was definitely worth flying in from New Jersey to experience the Stearman. The two days of flying with you Tim was great and the special Stearman stamp you put in my log book, words can't describe the feeling. In this picture, I sent to you, my wife said, "Lou, you look so happy in that plane!"
Thanks again for such a great birthday present to myself,
Lou DiVentura |

Peggy & Tim,
What a memorable three-day weekend that was. I never thought
I would have this much fun flying the Cub and the Stearman
to get my tailwheel endorsement.
Tim,
you're a great CFI. Besides having a lot of patience,
you really took the time to explain things out. I learned
as much about airmanship as I did tailwheel planes. I
guarantee you that from now on, on every approach, I'll
hear you say "stick towards the
wind", "stick all the way back",etc, in the back of my
mind. Your location is really ideal. Being able to land
and take-off at all those nearby airports and airstrips
really simulates all the different situations one will
encounter.
Peggy,
the planning for this trip couldn't have been easier.
I also wanted to really thank you for your genuine hospitality.
Again, thanks to both of you for making this experience
the best.
Sincerely
Francois Betoulaud |

We
had a great time! Thanks so much for an unforgettable
experience. I definitely want to fly again. We'll
see you in August for Cindy's birthday. Here's the
photo. I thought it provided a great perspective of
the airport.
See
you soon! Andy & Cindy |

Just
a short note to say thank you for making my stay an
extremely pleasurable experience. Meeting you guys
and flying with Tim was the highlight of this whole
vacation. Flying with Tim was the most fun I have
had flying in a lot of years. Thanks again. Today
I passed the SES check ride but I must say that at
NO time did I consider it fun. It was a lot of work
but I'm kind of glad I did it. The instructor I had
said that if everyone went up and flew with Tim like
I did his job would be about 50% easier. I wore my
PA t-shirt and hat so everyone knew where I was.
Thanks Again and keep in touch..Paul |

| I
loved your article on the J-3 Cub. (AOPA
Magazine) It is still my absolute favorite airplane
for fun flying. At the end of the article you had
a section of sites for Cub training. Preston Aviation
is one of the best Cub training outfits that I know
of. They are based in Eustis, Florida, from October
through May and New Milford, Connecticut, through
the summer. In addition to training in a J-3 Cub,
they also do Stearman instruction. Tim Preston is
one of the best instructors I know of and their outfit
is first class. The Web site for Preston Aviation
is www.flytailwheel.com.

Tim,
Peggy, and Mike Kelly made a lasting memory for
me yesterday. Before yesterday the last time I
flew in a "yellow peril" was August 26,
1942--almost 63 years ago. You two are nice people,
and please give Peggy a hug for me.
Thanks
again for a memorable day.

| Tim
and Peggy,
I
just wanted to thank you both so much for the rides
in your J-3 this past Saturday. It was truly a
memorable experience and my son couldn't stop talking
about it. Your hospitality was amazing. I hope
you don't mind, but I am certain we will be bothering
you many more weekends!
Sincerely,

Hello
Tim and Peggy,
Just wanted to drop a note and say thanks for the
opportunity to fly the PT-17 this past Sunday and
get the HP endorsement....it was the most memorable
flight experience to date! I hope to get back to
fly soon ...perhaps before you leave Florida and
certainly this Summer when you are back in Conn.
Again thanks...it was a blast!
Regards,

Hi
Peggy & Tim,
I
wanted to drop you a note thanking you again for not
only some of the best instruction I've had, but the
best hospitality. Needless to say, when I got finished
on Sunday, my tail was definitely dragging. Andrew
apparently enjoyed it too (despite a long day for
him) because he kept talking about you adopting him.
I can't compete with a J-3 and a Stearman. Seriously,
though, I really do want to thank Tim for going the
extra mile. I also really appreciate you getting Andrew
some air time. I hope to see you both this summer
at Candlelight or in Stowe for some soaring.
Very best
wishes, Ron Merelman

Hi
Peggy & Tim,
As
promised, attached are a couple of shots of the Stearman
I am looking at buying. The pictures don't do her justice.
I hope the format doesn't take too long to download.
Once
again, I want to thank you for the excellent instruction.
You almost needed to call the Lake County Sheriff to get
me out of the plane on that last shut down - I didn't want
to leave. I really appreciated Tim's relaxed style of instruction
and how he allowed me to learn from my (many) mistakes in
trying to grasp the proper techniques. I wouldn't hesitate
at all to recommend you to anyone wanting to get checked
out on a Stearman.
It
was an unforgettable experience and the highlight of my
aviation experiences thus far. I hope to see you in my own
Stearman at Galesburg someday, and for recurrent training.
All
the best!

Hi
Peggy & Tim,
We're
all good back home. We also miss you. We had the best
time. Thank you for putting us on your famous photo album
and sending the pictures.
We
gained a lot of knowledge/experience with our taildragger
trainings. Tim you are the coolest man between the wings
we ever met so far. I introduced your »smooth« already
to the german language. Every time using this word reminds
me how positive you are.
Catch
you later,

Hi
Peggy and Tim,
Sorry, it took me a few days to get used to normal life again.
It´s really hard after such a great vacation. So I have
to say, thank you again for the great time we have spent together
and the incredible flying experience. It´s so funny
when now people asking me, how it is to fly a Stearman. I
can´t really describe that, it´s more feeling.
So we will keep in touch, also good luck for you both as
well, we will see if I am going to become an airline pilot,
I will let you know.
Thank you again and best greetings from Austria!!!

A
brief note to thank you both so much for a great long
weekend flying with you in the US last week. It really
was a blast to be able to fly the Stearman, and I learned
so much about flying in general from you, Tim, over the
five days. Apologies once again for digging too deep into
the magic pretzels and the Diet Coke, Peggy. It's truly
a beautiful part of the world - have a great rest of the
summer. I haven't stopped smiling since I left - even
a day waiting for the visa in New York couldn't bring
me down. I'll be sure to come back for another go when
I get down to Florida over the winter. In the meantime,
many thanks, again.

Hi
Peggy and Tim: This was one of the most exhilarating things
I've done in my lifetime. The open cockpit is for me....more
sensation to flying and the plane is so patient. I was not
afraid for a minute with Tim's expert flying; it was a very
comfortable flight. Thanks so much !!

My
son, Tim, really enjoyed the flight. I think he wasn't so
sure of what I got him into that day, but once he got up
there he loved it. Thanks for taking him on a great experience.
Here are some pictures I took you can have. Have a great
trip going up north for the Summer.

Just
a note to say Thanks for the most fun BFR I've ever had! What
a thrill to fly a Stearman! Sure beats Disney World hands down.
Give Dean and Me a call if you get up our way.
Thanks
again. It was great!

I
don't know what my father shared with you of his experience in
your Stearman, but I wanted to share with you he wrote to me,
it makes for a great customer testimonial:
"First
time I ever had an instructor that did what I wanted to do.
And first instructor that did not rattle my crotch with the
stick to show displeasure. So now I have completed the last
page in my flight log book with an event that I have wanted
to do for many years."
Thank
you for being there, for having a web site so I could find you,
and mostly for making my Christmas present to my father one of
the best and most memorable.

Just
wanted to drop a quick THANK YOU for a great experience yesterday
morning! It had been about 27 years since my last flight in
a Cessna 150 and I'd never been in an open cockpit plane, but
you guys did everything right to bring back the best memories!
You've picked a wonderful location and the combination of Peggy's
'make yourself comfortable' style and Tim's calm confidence
is great reassurance for anyone with misgivings. I could not
have had a better time, so I'll definitely be back next summer.
And while I may not be ready for any loops, I think I'll be
able to un tether Tim from the "straight and level" flight
plan! Best wishes to you both for a safe trip south and a successful
wintering until next year!
